What do I do with God on Monday?

I am sitting in a meeting next to an old acquaintance. We were deliberating the origins of a soon to be Marketplace Forum. We soon began to talk about the role of Spirituality in the mission of the soon to be Forum. In the midst of intense deliberations and concerns and what seemed to be an ensuing hot debate, about Sunday spirituality and Monday to Saturday duality, one of the ladies on the table in a burst of frustration spat out ‘I do not know what to do with God on Monday?’

Her frustration is carried altogether by many who on the one side are sincerely committed to Biblical Spirituality but constantly face the challenge of Translation and Engagement of the same spirituality into their daily marketplace spaces as Entrepreneurs or Corporate Career Builders.

At Soko Institute we equip you to translate your spirituality into daily measurable meaningful experiences. We have bite sized and sometimes munchy knowledge products, courses and downloadable material created for your use and advantage. I am David Paul Mavia and I am here to walk with you and teach you What to Do with God on Monday – or for that matter What to do with God before Sunday.

Bridging the Distance between Spirituality and Market Practice

A friend of mine called me up with welling tears in her eyes. She was concerned about her spiritual commitment to God especially with regard to her Business. She went ahead to tell me about a Businessman who was not of her faith that had a long-standing court case, with respect to one of his business. In this case he was the aggrieved party and had waited for justice that was taking long to be served to his advantage.

He decided to draw from his spiritual capital. He took his wife and two children locked himself in one of his villas and resorted to read through his sacred book aloud as a family and pray for ten days for the matter to be resolved. Needless to say his method was not conventional but also his faith was not distant from his business. His matter was resolved not long after that. He made the Spiritual Practical.
